I am writing to you to ensure your awareness of the fundraising opportunity that the Target Corporation offers Lake Mary Preparatory School through their “Target Takes Charge Program.” Because many of you already shop at Target, I wanted to explain how the “Target Takes Charge Program” works and how easy it is to earn monies for our schools. By way of background, Target’s commitment to making a positive difference in the communities in which they operate stores is based upon partnering with local schools, allowing parents, educators and community members to maintain high quality education for their children.

The Target “Take Charge of Education” (TCOE) School Fundraising Program is a loyalty program associated with the Target Visa Card and Target Charge Card, whereby a card holder can designate a preK through 12th grade school to receive donations as follows:
ØTarget donates 1% of Target Visa and Target Card purchases made at www.Target.com
ØTarget donates 0.50% of Target Visa purchases made elsewhere to the school of the parents’ (card holder’s) choice.
Target tracks all purchases made to participating accounts/cardholders and distributes the accumulated donations twice annually, in the months of September and March.

If you already have a Target Visa or Target Card, designate our school on www.Target.com/TCOE or by calling their toll-free number, 1-800-316-6142. Thousands of dollars of funds can be raised on an on-going basis for Lake Mary Preparatory School by simply using your Target Visa or Target charge card when making a credit card purchase. These efforts benefit your children in numerous ways, including the purchase of computers, books and other needed school supplies. Target has given over $100 million to schools through this program to date. For those of you, who already shop at Target, please take a moment next time you are in your local Target store and apply for a Target Visa or Target Charge Card, designating Lake Mary Preparatory School as the beneficiary of the Target Take Charge of
education program.
