Lake Mary Preparatory School

Lake Mary Prep has offered travel opportunities to such wonderful locations as England, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. Our Summer Institutes, located in Puerto Rico and Mexico offer the student the chance to get one half or a full credit counting toward either their Fine Art requirement or counting as their 3rd Foreign Language credit. While in Puerto Rico, students were fortunate to visit the shops and galleries of Old San Juan and the eco sensitive areas of the smaller Puerto Rican island of Vieques. Cooking in the traditional style and creating traditional masks proved quite a challenge for the students!

In Oaxaca, Mexico, students have the opportunity to visit archeological sites, the colorful local markets, galleries and studios galore! During the day, students also spend considerable time studying Spanish language at the Cultural Institute of Oaxaca.
