Band Camp
Summer Program 2008

Greetings Parents and Students of LMP,

It is my great pleasure to be your new band director for the upcoming 2008-09 school year. Meritas, the administration of LMP and I have been working very hard to make sure that the band program will be a fully integrated part of the LMP curriculum with classes meeting during each school day!

In an attempt to jumpstart the program we will be offering a band camp the week of July 28 – August 1. The camp will run from 9am – 1:30pm. For students who have no experience with band instruments, camp time will be from 9am – 11am. For students with any level of band instrument experience, camp will run from 11:30am – 1:30pm.

Since this is our first year of band camp there will be no charge for participation. The only cost involved will be the rental or purchase of instruments and related supplies. This information will be made available during the camp.

While at band camp students will be able to experiment with a variety of instruments so that we may determine which instrument will provide the best opportunity for your child’s success. We will then host a meeting with a local music store to allow for instrument rental or purchase.

Please complete the following forms to be turned in the first day of camp. It is important that they be completed fully and notarized as indicated for the safety and welfare of the students. In order to be appropriately prepared for the camp please email the name and the grade that your child will be going into for the upcoming school year to ftaylor@lakemaryprep.com no later than July 18th.
