Summer Program 2008
Summer Specialty camps will provide a weekly focus on a variety of
activities including sports, academics, and technology. Campers are
welcomed to join LMP Day Camp or Extended Camp Care. Separate fees
will apply.

LMP Baseball Camp
Take your game to the next level with Central Florida's most
respected youth baseball coach, Terry Hazelett. LMP Baseball Camp
offers this opportunity for players 8 to 15 years old. Players will
be separated by position, ability and age group. Camp will focus on
all baseball skills including functional fitness, position
development and conditioning, with a special emphasis being placed
on pitching and hitting skills. High school baseball players will
be on hand to provide a 5:1 camper to coach ratio. Coach Hazelett
is one of the very select coaches certified by the nationally
recognized National Pitching Association. Baseball Camp is sure to
be a hit!
LMP Baseball Camp dates are June 2 - June 6 from 9:00AM - 1:00PM.

LMP Volleyball Camp
LMP Volleyball Camp will be run by varsity coach Daniel DeJesus.
Volleyball camps will focus on improving individual passing,
setting, hitting and blocking skills as well as team offensive and
defensive strategies. Incoming Middle School and High School
students attending this camp will have a strong foundation for the
conditioning and skills necessary for successful team tryouts in
August. Different drills and strategies will be presented at each
camp, so plan to attend both sessions. Camps will be educational
and fun! Wear good sports shoes, comfortable workout clothes and
kneepads. Participants need to bring water and a snack.
Volleyball Camps will run June 2 - 6 and July 7 - July 11 in the
LMP gym. Cost: $175 per camp or $325 for both. Register through

Driver Training Education
Driver Training Education will be offered at Lake Mary Prep and
instructed by the Florida Safety Council. This 30 + 6 Driver
Education course is a comprehensive program that consists of 6
sessions totaling 24 hours of classroom instruction plus 6 hours of
driving and 6 hours of observation. Instruction will take place in
the classroom Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8:00 to noon at LMP. Six
sessions of behind the wheel observation and training in a late
model state approved training vehicle will be scheduled Monday
through Saturday. These sessions will be determined by the order of
registration.
Students must have a valid Florida Drivers Permit to participate in
behind the wheel instruction. Session I June 2 - June 14 or Session
2 July 7 - July 19. Cost: $550

2008 Anthony Bowie Summer Basketball
Camp
JET SPORTS is proud to present our 2008 Anthony Bowie Summer
Basketball Camp, directed by former NBA player Anthony Bowie. Your
kids will be thrilled to pieces as Mr. Bowie teaches them new and
exciting programs with an emphasis on skill development,
sportsmanship, offensive and defensive strategies and lots of fun!
Hot shot and free throw contests, T-shirts, and a day of excitement
is what you can expect from Anthony Bowie and his coaches.
Participants need to bring water, lunch and a snack. Wear good
sports shoes and comfortable sports clothing. Please apply
sunscreen to campers prior to camp.
Camp takes place right at Lake Mary Prep June 9 - June 13 from 9:00
- noon for younger players, Kindergarten through 2nd grade, and
9:00 - 3:00 for those who want a full day of fun! You won't want to
miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to work with a true NBA

LMP Flag Football Camp
Are you ready for some football? LMP Flag Football Camp will begin
another season for incoming 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. Coach
Martin will lead his players in offensive and defensive drills.
Learn to block, pass, punt and receive. Scrimmages will allow you
to put your skills to the test. Players need to wear suitable
sports clothing, tennis shoes and sunscreen. Bring plenty of water
and a snack. Bringing cleats is optional, but no metal cleats
allowed.
Be a part of the action the week of June 16 - June 20 from 8:00 -

Dreadhead Soccer Camps
Dreadhead Soccer Camps are celebrating over 10 years of success. We
are excited to offer two camps this season at LMP. Both camps allow
for younger students, incoming Kindergarten to 2nd grade, to attend
from 9:00 - noon, and older students, incoming 2nd grade and up,
from 9:00 - 4:00. Dreadhead Soccer Day Camps are proud to offer
outstanding instruction for players of all levels. We provide a
professional, organized and enthusiastic program each and every
day, with an emphasis on building a long lasting love for soccer
combined with loads of fun. Our purpose is to develop good soccer
habits by giving players the confidence, willingness and ability to
take on opponents. Most importantly, we strive to teach in an
encouraging environment, with responsible coaches who are
background checked and understand that fun is the main focus. If
you miss our Dreadhead Soccer Camp the only thing you'll be kicking
is yourself!
Campers will need to wear comfortable sports clothing and sneakers.
Apply sunscreen prior to camp. Bring soccer cleats, shin guards,
water bottle, snack and lunch.
The first camp is June 23 - June 27; the second camp is July 14 -

LMP Radio Podcasting Camp
Can't leave home without your iPod? No problem. LMP Radio
Podcasting Camp offered by Lindsay Puccio welcomes your iPod. In
fact, it's required! During this one week, incoming 6th through
10th graders will write, produce, and use their best radio voices
to record their own news and talk radio show. Through the power of
technology your child's radio show can be uploaded on their iPod.
They'll be the star of the show!
Radio Podcasting Camp will be June 23 - June 27 from 9:00 - 3:00.

TV Broadcasting Camp
You're on the air in 3, 2, 1. LMP offers TV Broadcasting
Camp! Television news is one more exciting way for students to get
a hands-on experience in a field they may wish to make a career of
some day. During this one week camp, incoming 6th through 9th
graders will learn how to operate a camera, lighting equipment,
sound equipment, special graphics on the green screen and act as
news anchors in front of the camera. By the end of the week the
students will have produced their first television newscast by
kids, for kids! TV Broadcasting Camp will air the week of July 7 -
July 11 from 9:00 - 3:00 starring incoming grades 6,7,8,9.

LMP Fit & Fun Camp
LMP Fit & Fun Camp is the perfect place for your energetic
child! Boys and girls, incoming grades 3rd through 7th, will learn
techniques to help them run faster and for longer distances all
while having fun and staying fit! Coach Marsha Colas will
incorporate drills and mechanics into games for this Fit & Fun
Camp! Campers will need to wear comfortable sports clothing, good
sports shoes, sunscreen and bring a water bottle. Fit & Fun
Camp will run July 7 - July 11, 9:00 - 11:00 AM.

LMP Lego League
Challenge
your imagination with Lego League! Under the guidance of Mrs. Ali
Kee, children will construct projects using their creativity, Legos
and motors. Lego League is for incoming 1st , 2nd and 3rd graders.
This camp is limited to 10 children. Lego League runs July 7 - July
11.

Lego RoboCamp
LMP will host Lego RoboCamp 2008 presented by James Jones, Brick
Educational Specialist and Winner of three Disney Teacherrific
Awards. Lego RoboCamp will use only LEGO- Educational Sets. Visit

Lego RoboCamp will be offered to incoming grades 4th, 5th, 6th the
week of July 14th - July18th and incoming grades 7th, 8th, 9th the

LMP Dance and Cheer Camp
LMP Dance and Cheer Camp instructed by Caroline Harmon has
something for every age! Each day, class would include the basics
of cheer, dance, and tumbling. A mix of some traditional cheer
games will compliment each morning. Skills from the day before will
be reviewed and then built upon. By Friday, the class will know
cheer hand and arm positions, twelve cheers and chants, two dances,
and basic tumbling including forward rolls, cartwheels and
round-offs.
Class size limited to 8. Come show your spirit the week of July 21
- July 25. Incoming Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd graders will meet
each morning from 9:00 - 10:15. Cost: $60 Register through Lake

LMP Dance and Cheer Camp for incoming 3rd, 4th and 5th graders will
cover much of the same information and skills as the younger group,
but will also include basic two and three person stunts. Meeting in
the Dance Room from 10:30 - 12:15, participants will learn more
complex cheers and more chants. Class size limited to 10.
Cost: $80 Register through Lake Mary Prep.
LMP Dance and Cheer Camp for incoming Middle Schoolers will cover
all of the basics as well as develop cheer/dance/pom routines.
Meeting from 1:30 - 4:00 daily will bring out the enthusiasm and
talent of this group! This camp will lend added skills to students
before they enter middle school or high school and enhance iDance
and G Force teams or any dance and cheer team.
All participants need to wear appropriate dance attire. Long hair
must be pulled back. Class size limited to 12. Cost: $100 Register

Jump Start Academic Camp
Jump Start the school year with individualized instruction in Math,
Reading, and/or Language Arts for incoming students grades 1st
through 5th!
Jump Start Academic Camp will run July 21 - August 1. More
