When was Lake Mary Prep founded?
LMP opened its doors in 1999 under the direction of Dr. Pouneh Alcott. Since that time the school has transformed into a family of 625 students, their parents, faculty, administration, and friends. LMP is a member of the Meritas Family of Schools and in partnership with 18 private preparatory schools throughout the United States, Mexico, China, and Switzerland.
Where is LMP?
Lake Mary Prep is located in Lake Mary, FL (the City of Lakes). It is easy access from I-4 via Highway 46A or Lake Mary Boulevard.

Grades PK3 - 12
What is the class size at Lake Mary Prep?
- PreK3 – 12 students per class
- PreK4 – 14 students per class
- Kindergarten – 16 students per class
- Grades 1 through 3 – 18 students per class
- Grades 4 and 5 – 20 students per class
- Grades 6 through 12 – 22 students per class
Is Lake Mary Prep accredited?
LMP is accredited by Florida Kindergarten Council (FKC) and Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS).
What is LMP’s college acceptance rate?

Does Lake Mary Prep offer athletics?
LMP is a Division 1, FHSAA athletic program offering 13 varsity sports.
Does Lake Mary Prep offer extracurricular activities?
LMP offers a wide range of academic, social, and athletic educational enhancement opportunities for students to participate including the fine and performing arts, student government, competitive forensics (speech and debate), special interest clubs, National Honor Society, Junior National Honor Society, and unique Meritas travel opportunities.
