8/22/2013
LAKE MARY, FL, August 21, 2013 – Lake Mary Preparatory School (LMP) is proud to announce that graduate, Aubrey Peeples, has been selected for a recurring role in the ABC hit series, Nashville, which returns to television this Fall.

In the series, Peeples will play the part of Layla, a runner-up in a singing contest, and later will be seen in the CW series, Star-Crossed. This is not her first experience with television as she has also appeared in additional series shows including: Burn Notice, Necessary Roughness, Drop Dead Diva, Charlie’s Angels, and Grey’s Anatomy, as well as has starred in and assisted with the production of the short film, Anne Frank Meets God.

Although her experience has been originally centered in Central Florida, Peeples now resides in Los Angeles, CA, and has recently been brought to the forefront in the media sensation, Sharknado, which also featured Ian Ziering and Tara Reid. The film will air again on the Syfy Network on Aug 22 at 7 PM. She has also just finished filming Tokarev with Nicolas Cage which will be released in 2014, highlighting Peeples as his daughter.

Her advice to young actors is to “get tough and to get dedicated because that is what makes it the most rewarding.” She graduated from LMP in 2012 and addressed the graduating class as Valedictorian. “I certainly would not have been able to accomplish or even attempt these things without the support and effort on LMP’s behalf,” said Peeples. “The fact that everyone at LMP helps students to cultivate their passions and their goals not only within the classroom, but also outside just speaks to the enormous amount of care and dedication the school has for the individual as a whole – and was thus the best possible place I could have asked to grow up, because I learned to grow not only as a student, but as a whole person.”

LMP could not be more proud of her achievements and her ability to serve as a role model for students interested in following in her path. “We are so honored to have Aubrey as a graduate of Lake Mary Prep,” said Headmaster, Glenn Chapin. “Her work ethic, commitment to excellence in her craft, and the dedication she has demonstrated to her education, each make her such a special young woman. This is only just the beginning for Aubrey and we are all greatly looking forward to supporting her efforts in every step she takes next.”
