Two LMP Students Receive Top Honors from UCP

Daniel Lopez and Lake Periman are leaders of Lake Mary Preparatory School's Lake Scary 5K Club. Their duties are to raise funds on campus for UCP of Central Florida, including the culmination of a 5K each year, which is the biggest fundraising event for the club.
Because of all their hard work with the Lake Scary 5K for UCP over the years, helping to raise over $64,000 for children with special needs, they are being presented with the Jackie Bailes Legacy Award at the Evening at The Palace UCP’s Gala this year.
The Jackie Bailes Legacy Award is one of the most prestigious awards presented by United Cerebral Palsy of Central Florida for all an individuals’ hard work, support, dedication, compassion, and contribution for the UCP children. The boys will be giving an acceptance speech with a 10-minute video presentation to over 700 sponsors, following predecessor’s such as; Dr. Rebecca Hines, Mike & Carol Gibson of Versatile Photography,
Mr. Richard Hart of Baterby’s Art Gallery, Actress Cheryl Hines from over the years, on April 1 at the Buena Vista Palace.
