Our School

Welcome to Lake Mary Preparatory School and thank you for your interest in learning more about our wonderful school community! At Lake Mary Prep you will find a focus on diversity, inclusion, and personal growth in academics, athletics, and the arts.

Through a differentiated approach to learning, students from PreK4 through 12th grade set out on a journey of creative exploration and grapple with big ideas that could potentially change the world.  We ensure our students start learning from a strong foundation embedded in our classroom and school-wide culture, surrounded by caring and knowledgeable faculty. At Lake Mary Prep our students are focused on building critical thinking skills, civil discourse, and community engagement both in and outside of school. We prepare our students for more than just college; we prepare them for life.

Lake Mary Preparatory School currently offers 20 Advanced Placement (AP) courses, a nationally recognized Debate team, 36 athletic teams, internship opportunities, and many other programs. Lake Mary Prep also embarks on yearly educational trips overseas so students have the opportunity to see their classroom come to life through real-world experiences. Students learn to balance academics, extra-curricular activities, and family time as part of our whole-child approach. Our counselors work directly with each student to develop a learner profile to ensure that each course and activity is relevant for their future aspirations.

Lastly, we are proud and honored to be accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS), Cognia, and the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS). Come see what it's like to be a Griffin and ignite your future!

Curiosity makes our brains more receptive to learning. At Lake Mary Preparatory School, curiosity is the fuel for discovery, inquiry, and knowledge. Our teachers use individualized support to develop our students into critical thinkers primed to excel in high school and beyond.
