Extended Care Program

All students not picked up at their assigned dismissal time for their division will be checked into Extended Care for supervision. Lower school students may not be signed out by a secondary school sibling due to safety measures. 

Extended Care Schedule: Monday - Friday, dismissal – 6:00 p.m. Extended Care is closed on all school holidays, breaks, and teacher work days.

• The daily rate of $25 per child will be charged to your school account.

• The charges incurred for late pick up of students will be $1/per-minute after 6:00 p.m. and will be a $5/per minute after 6:15 p.m. This fee will be billed to your account. 

Yes, the fee is $25 per day if a student is not picked up on time from school based on the dismissal window of their grade.

• PreK-K: 2:40-2:55pm (Wednesday 1:40-1:55pm)
• Grade 1-5: 2:55-3:10pm (Wednesday 1:55-2:10pm)
• Grade 6-12: 3:15-3:30pm

Students in grades 6-12 may wait under the front portico from 2:45-3:00pm so they can be picked up with their sibling(s) during Lower School carline. There is no charge for Secondary students who wait for Lower School dismissal. 

Students will have time to complete their homework, enjoy a snack, and engage in outdoor activities. Team building activities, art projects, board games, special guests, and age-appropriate movies will also be a part to your child's afternoon experience. 

Extended Care is grouped in the following way: 

• Group 1: PreK
• Group 2: K-5th
• Group 3: 6-12

PreK-5th grade is "Kid Power" and 6-12 grade is "Middle Ground." 

The start time for Community School and extracurricular activities varies. Each start time is communicated to families. All students who are signed up for Community School, extracurricular activities, or academic tutoring will report to Extended Care where they will wait until the start of the program at no charge (until 4:00pm for Secondary). The daily fee will only apply if the student returns to Extended Care after their activity is complete.

Extended Care is only open during academic instructional days. 

Lake Mary Prep is now providing extended childcare options on select non-academic school days. Kid Power will be offered to current K-5th grade LMP students on teacher work days, SLC days, and early release days.

Students will enjoy planned activities, games, group team building, art projects, in-house field trips, and so much more! Your child will feel right at home by being at their school on these days, and you don't have to worry about finding a sitter or taking off from work!

The cost of this service is $55 and will be billed on your monthly LMP statement. Registration links will be sent in the weekly newsletters prior to each school closure date.
