How to Keep Your Kids Engaged Over the Summer
When the bell rings for the last time and students leave their books behind for summer break, they only have one thing on their mind: no more school. But what if your children could stay engaged and keep learning in a fun and exciting environment over the summer? For kids, summer means games, activities and trips—and your children can get just this while still learning through Lake Mary Prep’s (LMP) summer camps. Not sure which camp to enroll your kids in? Here’s a breakdown of our camps to help you make your decision:
Day Summer Program
June 4 to August 3 for Pre-K3 to 10th grade
Our day summer programs are the perfect way to keep your kids active and entertained while you’re at work. Drop off starts as early as 7 a.m., and pick up ends as late as 6 p.m. We offer a variety of camps to choose from depending on your needs and your children’s interests. Our main nine-week summer camp involves weekly themes and a mix of activities for your kids. And if you sign up for the full nine weeks by May 4, you can save 15 percent. On the other hand, if you only want to enroll your kids for certain weeks, you can pick and choose which weeks to participate. LMP also offers five-day camps with academic-specific themes, like writing or STEM, or sports-specific themes, like archery or soccer. On top of that, we teamed up with iBrick Academy, Engineering for Kids and Mad Science to offer their four-day camps at our school. Visit the day summer program page to sign up or learn more information.
International Summer Camp
June 3 to July 29th for ages 13 to 17
Our international summer camp invites students from all around the world to head to Orlando to learn English and get a glimpse of the American life. Students can register for a biweekly (2 weeks), half (4 weeks) or full (8 weeks) session and stay at our off-campus co-ed dormitory in Lake Mary, Florida.
Each week will be filled with English as a second language (ESL) classes, group activities, team building exercises and excursions on the weekends to tourist destinations like SeaWorld and Kennedy Space Center. At the end of the camp session, students will leave with memories, friendships and a higher proficiency in the English language.
Take a look at our international summer camp page to view a full schedule and register your children.
Teen Overnight Summer Camp Program
For ages 13 to 17 (dates coming soon)
Similar to our international summer camp, we offer our teen overnight camp for locals in biweekly (2 weeks), half (4 weeks), or full (8 weeks) sessions with off-campus co-ed dormitory accommodations in Lake Mary.
Every day during the camp, your kids will challenge their brains while still having fun in life skill lessons, team building exercises, cultural excursions and field trips. Through this experience, campers will make new friends while learning valuable life lessons.
We’re still working out the details for the dates and schedule so stay tuned on our teen overnight summer camp page for more information.
