It is not every day that an entire Upper School pauses its regular schedule to focus solely on connection, teamwork, and the spirit of community. However, that is exactly what happened during All In Day at Lake Mary Preparatory School. Organized by our Leadership Class and facilitated in partnership with our friends from Kairos Adventures—a Sanford-based organization for adults living with varying abilities—the day was a powerful testament to the Griffin spirit. Building Bridges Through Shared Experiences All In Day centered on a series of Special Olympics-style stations designed to bring everyone together. Students and guests from Kairos Adventures participated in a variety of team-building challenges that required them to collaborate, communicate, and step outside their comfort zones. The atmosphere on campus was filled with kindness, joy, and energy. Whether it was navigating a technical challenge or cheering on a teammate at a game station, our students showed up ready to support one another, creating a ripple effect of laughter and meaningful moments that added up to something truly unforgettable. The Power of Inclusive Perspectives Engaging with friends who have diverse abilities and experiences brought invaluable new perspectives to our student body. These interactions foster a deeper sense of empathy and serve as a vital reminder that inclusion strengthens both teamwork and our local community. By spending the day learning alongside the participants from Kairos Adventures, our students were able to practice social awareness and relationship skills in a real-world setting. The outcome was so much more than just a fun day away from the classroom; it was a significant boost to our school culture and a reminder that every individual belongs at LMP. Strengthening Our School Spirit The success of All In Day highlights the leadership and initiative of our students. Seeing the Upper School come together with such heart and dedication proved that when we focus on what unites us, we can accomplish incredible things. We are so proud of the way our students embraced this opportunity with open arms and open hearts. This day was a beautiful example of what it means to be a part of this community. When it comes to supporting our neighbors and lifting each other up, LMP is truly ALL IN! We love to do things like this where the whole school comes together. We call it OneLMP.
