Introducing Christian Pope, a trained mental health professional with a background in clinical mental health, as well as school counseling in a variety of settings. Christian provides daily support to students and staff to ensure that students' academic, social, and emotional needs are being met. Christian strives to connect with each student in a way that fosters a trusting relationship, allows for constructive feedback, and promotes their overall well-being.Christian also works first-hand with teachers to ensure that social emotional learning is prioritized daily in our classrooms. Christian supports teachers by providing resources, conducting group SEL sessions, and meeting individually on a regular basis. Christian is also our Head Boys Basketball coach and Key Club sponsor. Christian believes that visibility and positivity are the most important factors in establishing trust with students.
Raine Cromer is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified School Counselor who has been serving the Lake Mary Preparatory School community since the 2023–2024 school year. With a strong foundation in both school-based and clinical mental health, she is dedicated to supporting students’ emotional well-being and helping them build the skills they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.Bringing a collaborative and proactive approach, Mrs. Cromer partners closely with teachers, families, and staff to ensure students receive thoughtful, coordinated care. At Lake Mary Prep, she leads the implementation of a social-emotional learning (SEL) program for elementary students and provides individualized support, including brief counseling, crisis intervention, and peer mediation.In addition, Mrs. Cromer serves as the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead, acting as a primary point of contact for student support concerns while overseeing safeguarding practices, training, and protocols. Her work is grounded in a strong belief in early intervention and the importance of creating a safe, supportive environment where all students feel seen, supported, and ready to learn.

Ongoing training and dedicated Designated Safeguarding Leads ensure concerns can be recognized early, handled with care, and addressed promptly, helping sustain a culture of trust and shared responsibility.
Background checks
Learners' wellbeing is strengthened by thorough employment screening carried out through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. This rigorous process ensures that those working with children meet required standards.
E-safety
Students navigate the digital world with awareness, responsibility, and care. Through regular learning opportunities, they develop the language, skills, and strategies to recognize online risks, respond appropriately, and help foster a safer digital culture.
