Lake Mary Preparatory School announced that seniors Juliana Brown and Nam Tran have been named Commended Students in the National Merit Scholarship Program. This recognition is based on the students’ exceptional performance on the 2024 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Commended Students are among the top performers, scoring in the top three percent of the approximately 1.5 million high school seniors nationwide who entered the competition by taking the qualifying exam. While Commended Students do not continue in the National Merit Scholarship competition, their high standing and demonstrated academic potential are recognized by colleges and universities across the country.
