Senior Lunch and College Application Boot Camp for Seniors

  • Monday, August 17th from 12:15pm - 3:15pm
  • LMP Cafeteria

Seniors, please wait until after the Senior Bootcamp presentation on August 17th before beginning your Common App. While students can create an account and start working on the Common App before August 1st, only some information will transfer when the application rolls over to the new admission cycle.

During the presentation, we will walk through each section of the Common App together, review important requirements, and share tips to help you avoid common mistakes. Waiting until after the session will ensure you are working with the most up-to-date information and are setting yourself up for a smooth and successful application process. Please bring your laptop and a way to take notes. You will also need your Social Security number for Bright Futures.
In addition, Mr. Cameron will review:

  • the overall college admissions process
  • how to use SCOIR
  • how to request transcripts and recommendations
  • how to navigate the SSAR/STARS
  • how to decide whether to apply test-optional or not, and whether to apply Early Action, Early Decision, Regular Decision, or through Rolling Admissions.
  • the process to apply for the Bright Futures scholarship and how to apply for other kinds of scholarships and financial aid.

ALL seniors should fill out this Google form for Mr. Cameron: Class of 2027 College Intake Form
